How can I get the most out of my sessions?

WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHING – No jeans, belts or shapewear undergarments.

ARRIVE ON TIME – If you’re late to your appointment, you may miss out on valuable time on the table.

HYDRATE – Drink plenty of water to help any chemical toxins that are released during your session clear from your system.

RELAX – Be gentle with yourself. Stay connected to your body. If possible, refrain from returning to a busy, stressful environment right after your session.

CONNECT  Be aware of any changes in your body. Taking a walk or journaling are great ways to integrate the benefits of the session.

Will I notice changes after my first session?

Most people feel more relaxed with less tension in their body. They experience improvement in restful sleep and mental clarity. Clients also report feeling more grounded, connected to their body and an overall sense of wellbeing.

In some cases, people may feel a little worse before getting better. Spinal Flow does not have any contraindications. This modality is always helping your body work towards wellness. However, healing is not a linear process, there could be some “ups and downs”. If any conditions worsen, it is temporary. The issues coming to the surface will need to be worked through with additional sessions.

How does Spinal Flow compare to other modalities?

Please visit the Spinal Flow Technique site for some helpful information on this topic.

Can Spinal Flow be done on children, pregnant women or someone who just had surgery?

Yes, people of any age can experience the benefits of Spinal Flow. Even a newborn may have blockages in their spine from their positioning in the womb or from the birthing process. This modality helps with spinal alignment and nervous system regulation. This puts the body in a state of healing and wellness which can make pregnancy more comfortable and help people recover from surgery more quickly.

How many sessions will I need?

Every person and their self-healing ability is unique. Your condition took years to develop. So while many people experience major improvements after a handful of sessions, most of us will need some time to undo the layers of stress that have accumulated.

Thankfully, healing can happen more quickly with a higher frequency of care. The recommended course of treatment would be 3 sessions per week for 4 weeks if possible (or more often for debilitating or acute conditions), then dropping to 2 times a week and lastly 1 time per week. We reassess after every 12th session and will adjust treatment accordingly.
